PROVIDENCE, RI – (APRIL 14, 2016) – TPG Hotels & Resorts, the industry’s premier hospitality management company, today announced that the Wyndham Garden Providence hotel is in the process of being updated and rebranded as a Hilton Garden Inn Providence hotel. Scheduled to fly the Hilton Garden Inn flag in July 2016, the hotel will showcase a refreshed interior consistent with the latest Hilton Garden Inn brand standards including designs and amenities inspired by its waterfront surroundings and rich nautical history.
Uniquely positioned as Providence’s only waterfront hotel, located directly across from India Point Park on the East Side of Providence and proximate to I-195, the property is in the midst of an interior décor redesign inspired by the rich history of 19th century international trade that took place at India Point, which is now a park and recreational area adjacent to the hotel. Updates to guest rooms and public spaces are slated for completion in May while the rebranding of the hotel will be completed by July 1 with the hotel remaining open throughout the rebranding process. The new Hilton Garden Inn Providence hotel will boast an improved look and feel to correlate with its East Side location and closeness to historic Benefit St., College Hill, Brown University and Rhode Island School of Design.

A leader in its brand portfolio, Hilton Garden Inn Providence will be the first of its kind to feature a Media Room, a unique and playful space devoted to alternative recreation and designed exclusively for the new hotel. Fashioned in the brand’s nature-inspired décor, the Media Room will promote socializing with soft seating, a large high-definition television and full gaming system.
Also new to the property will be an outdoor patio area where guests can enjoy appetizers and drinks while taking in a sunset over Providence Harbor and India Point Park. Inside, a full-service bar will serve as a statement piece in the heart of this gathering space while coastal wood side tables add maritime elements to the hotel’s Firepit seating area – a Hilton Garden Inn trademark featuring an iconic cocktail table and a large pendant fixture that emulates the fire above it.
The Hilton Garden Inn Providence will inspire a healthy lifestyle with state-of-the art fitness equipment and health-conscious dining options. The hotel’s new Garden Grille restaurant will offer breakfast, complete with an “interactive” chef who will prepare eggs to order, as well as dinner. The new hotel will also offer guests a complimentary treat upon arrival: a “Welcome Bar” – a delicious and enriched treat made with assorted dried fruit, white chocolate morsels and oatmeal.
